EAA Chapter 180 January meeting                                             1/23/2008 President Martin Sobel opened the meeting at 7:31 with the 'Pledge to the Flag.' Secretary's Report: No minutes were taken from the November/December meeting. Treasurer's Report:  Treasurer Brad Smith reported a balance of $40,460.12 as of 1/23. Young Eagles Report: Chip Miller told the chapter the last event was rained out. Builder Reports:  Martin has finished the horizontal and vertical stabilizers on his RV-8.  Brad Smith is working on the canopy of his RV-6A, getting the frame adjusted.  Dick Wilke flew around Michigan this past summer in his completed RAMS S6S.  Vance Noles has nearly completed his RV-7A.  He has started the engine and doing taxi testing while waiting for a DAR to inspect the plane.  Jim Ellis ia putting vinyl graphics on the side of his plane. A break was taken for refreshments and the 50/50 drawing. The evening program qualified as part of the wings safety program.  Our guest speaker was from Prop Works and spoke on the proper care of propellers. Martin closed the meeting at 9:00pm.
