Young Eagle Day,
Sept. 15, 2007 at Dolphin Aviation
by Chip Miller
We had a good Young Eagle Day on this last 3rd Saturday of the month. Pilots Jeff Walston, flying Curt Eskew's C-172, and new EAA and Chapter 180 member Phil Frommholz (in his Beechcraft Musketeer) flew about a dozen kids into "The World's Largest Logbook" in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
We had top-notch ground crew assistance from Tom and Arnold Kollenberg and the ever-efficient coordination of Tom and Linda Sell. I was able to get some good pictures of our pilots and their crews for the kid's certificates. We'll get some of these to the newsletter editor for the next month's newsletter.
As things worked out, the kids thinned out and we closed up shop around noon. Weather was starting to look dicey and it was a good time to wrap it up. All involved reported having a great time. Thanks to all our dedicated volunteers for another successful Young Eagle event.
Come out and check us out next month.

B-17 Visit
In case you haven't heard, the EAA B-17 will be at SRQ November 13-14. Chapter 180 is once again sponsoring the visit, so we’re going to need volunteers to help out. Plan to sign up at the meeting.
