President Blaise opened the meeting at 7:34pm with the 'Pledge to the Flag'. 19 members and guests were present.

Treasurer's Report: Treasured Frank Hurlburt reported a balance of $14, 270.

Secretary's Report: The minutes of the June and July meetings were accepted as printed in the newsletter.

Young Eagles: Chip Miller asked for pilots to come out and help at the young eagle flights. Over 30 kids were given flights at the last event.

Builder Reports: Robert Mueller reports the tail feathers of his Sonex are complete and he is now working on the wings. Brad Smith is modifying a RV-6A into a -7A. He is also working on the wing. Vance Noles is putting rivets in his RV-7A. Ziggy Feurersanger is in the 10 month of building a Zodiac XL. He has 95% completed, but figures the last 5% will take as long as the first 95%. He is shooting for taxi tests mid-september. Rob Brooke is doing instruments and plumbing on his Tiger Moth. Steve Walters rebuild of his Queen Air is progressing. All of the components from both engines have been rebuilt. He is hoping to have the engines running in about two weeks, with at least another 6 months of full time work left to complete the project. Bill Peters spent 2 weeks working on his son's RV-9 in California. Frank Hurlburt is finishing the lower cowling of his Lancair IV-P. He has the instrument panel designed, and is starting fabrication. He estimates another year and a half of build time. Blaise Pierson has 280-something hours on his RV-8. He flew it to Pensacola last week.

New Business: The Mid Atlantic Fly-in at Lumberton will be held May 17-19, 2007. Our Chapter has the tie down concession, and will need volunteers to help out.

An RV event is taking place at Venice the middle of September.
Our program for the evening was an extremely entertaining DVD on the history of Van Nuys Airport in southern California. As we only had time to view the first half, the remaining portion will be shown at September's meeting.

Blaise closed the meeting at 8:56pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Rolf Bostrom, Secretary
