The program for this month’s meeting was not available.

Prez Says
The months are rolling by and soon it will be time for the Lumberton Fly-in. We need FIRM commitments at least four months ahead of time. Six would be better. We are in charge of all aircraft parking and registration. I am sure that this will take more people that will be coming up, so I need time to recruit from up there too. I think we will need eight (I would like twelve) just for aircraft registration and another sixteen for aircraft parking. The more we have the more time our volunteers will be able to be off to enjoy the event. It would be great to be able to tell the organizers that we don't need their help. I am putting Chip in charge of the LBT volunteer list. (He doesn't know it yet) So see him to sign up. As much as I need volunteers to commit early, we will not turn anyone away who decides to go at the last minute.

Not too long ago, when David was the prez he started meeting with the board at the Anna Maria Oyster bar for dinner before the meeting. I only made a couple of those but thought it was a great way to get together. If anyone thinks that is worth reviving let me know. It was mainly the board but was open to everyone. That is the way I think it should be, open to everyone. We can talk about business at the meeting. This dinner should be just a social event.

On the Lakeland front, our lawyer chose not to attend the hearing saying that it would have cost the Chapter about seven hundred dollars and wouldn't have accomplished anything. There is more too it than that, but I am going to have Frank explain it at the next meeting.

Don't forget Young Eagles. We need Airplanes!!! I keep trying to talk Earle Swan into bring the Global Express over, but he has been a hard sell. For some reason the gas subsidy doesn't impress him.

See you at the meeting.
Blaise
