September Meeting

Minutes of the August Meeting


Treasurer Dave Bothe opened the meeting at 7:45 with the 'Pledge to the Flag'.  19 members and guests were present.

Teasurer's Report:  Dave reported a balance of $21,435.00 with an additional $30,00 in escrow.
Secretary's Report:  The minutes of the July meeting were accepted.

Builder Reports:  Fred Gale has put his Midget Mustang project up for sale.  Frank Hurlburt is doing the final fitting of the belly tank skin, and is working on the landing gear of his Lancair IV.  Eugene Naves is replacing the rudder pedals on his Fisher 101 to decrease the flex.  Jim Ellis reports his RV-9A's canopy frame is finished, and he's starting on the electrical system.  Brad Smith is building the RV-6A's fuselage and firewall.  Dave Bothe has the tail completed on his RV-8A and has turned his attention to the wings.






  Brad Smith and Vance Noles gave an account of their recent trip to Oshkosh in Vance's RV-9A.

Young Eagles Report: Scott Becker said the last Young Eagles day at Dolphin Aviation flew about 20 kids. Scott also reported the Wauchula airport took a hit in the recent hurricane.  A DC-3 on the field was substantially damaged. The Arcadia airport and several others were also affected in the storm.

Dave closed the meeting at 8:41pm.
